Room 180 and Corridor Renovations
Main Academic Building
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Client: Cincinnati State Technical & Community College (CSTCC)
Project:
To convert a 1950 dated corridor and 1960's remodeled classroom areas into a modern college multi-media center and public meeting area for community and corporate current and potential business partners. The goal was to create a new image for CSTCC as a prelude to the (then) coming Advance Technology and learning center.

- Opening up exterior blocked window - a return to day lighting
- A translucent screen wall system separated the dining/food prep area from the presentation room (also served as control flow for food distribution)
- New dynamic wall and ceiling details produced a unique combination of wood, wall paper, ceramic tile, and carpeting
- Advance high tech audio/video computer integrated (with Information Technology Department) equipment, drop screen and Dolby sound system
- ADA modifications per doors, fixtures, and seating
- Fire protection system (existing) had to be modified to add in new system for this project
- Design and develop ADA compliance exterior stairs/ramp combination
- Existing HVAC system modified to provide air flow, heat, etc. to the newly defined and reformed spaces
- Metal floating ceiling system reflects the 1950’s ceiling (metal) but with newer materials and side lit down lighting in corridor.
