Morrow Children Development Center

Location:Morrow, Ohio
Client:Morrow Children Development Center Inc.

Project:
Owner of Day Care business acquired a vacant strip mall store space then commissioned our office to convert it into a dynamic learning space for toddlers and kindergartners.

Details:
Working with different materials and textures walls and partial floors became learning instruments as the children were engaged throughout the various spaces.

Using a variety of wall heights we created a vertical vocabulary that taught them dimensioning. Objects hanging at various heights from the ceiling added to this geometry of space.

Parent and teacher observation room with one-way window allowed for undetected viewing of children activities. A security alarm system was added to front and rear doors.

Color Patterns & schemes were grouped, scattered, and coordinated to be a teaching tool as well as for dramatic effect.

The capacity of the center was 55.
