Project:
To assist an in experienced non-profit housing corporation in the creation of senior housing apartments to service the adjacent localities. Firm was instrumental in finding appropriate development partner; together this team won an exclusive HUD section 202 grant of $2.5 million for full project funding.
Details:
This three story, 25,500 SF., 30 one bedroom apartments with other common areas - on site laundry, community meeting room with kitchen, library, exercise facilities, doctor/physical exam areas, interior trash chutes, and new elevator equipped. Project was fully sprinklered and incorporated a high-level five alarm/early warning system for immediate health assistance.
Firm provided a diverse series of services through out this project: development assistance; architectural/engineering design; construction management and oversight; and organizational development for Friendship Plaza Housing Corporation.
Unique aspects: rain water disposal system reworked due to increase capacity expected. Existing utilities extended and modified as more were in operation for over fifteen years.
