Project consisted of redesigning and modifying entrances and restrooms/showers/locker rooms and swimming pool facilities so that maximum use for physical therapy participants, their family members as well as the general public could be achieved. Existing structural restraints and limiting permanent walls were over come by a sensitivity to ADA required dimensioning while utilizing activities flows to ensure the best functional plan possible
Details:
The project directed the: elimination of entry steps/replaced with a ramp; expansion and makeover of the steam room; refinishing and re-equipping showers; creation of a unisex change and restroom; new toilet, sinks, and accessory fixtures; installation of new lighting system and mechanical ventilation/exhaust, as well as heating/steam unit for steam room; construction of new walls as required, plus doors with ADA approved hardware throughout.
