Northern Kentucky Youth Repair/Fire Safety Upgrade

The Youth Development Center built in 1971, was in serious need of upgrading to meet current safety standards for fire and building codes. Due to serious brick spalling, cracking, and deterioration remediation of the exterior envelope was the main priority.
Details:
The structure is a single story masonry building with bar joist flat roof structure and contains approximately 28,000 sf. in area. The occupancy is a secure, restricted custody facility, use group I-3.
The project's goals are: replace/repair major sections of exterior masonry; replace the roof system; install fire suppression system; upgrade fire alarm system, including smoke evacuation; and miscellaneous associated work scope.
