New Boutique/Hair Salon

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Client: Vernecia's Changes

Project:
Ms. Washington, owner of Vernecia's Changes hired our firm to redesign an existing store space into a new multi-faced location for her expanding business(es). Given the task of creating a new image for a business whose main focus is image enhancement, we meet the challenge with excitement. What resulted was an unique entrance to this proposed multi-functioning Salon/Boutique/Art Gallery world of Vernecia's Changes.

Details:
The project dictated that distinct functions be separated appropriately, through transition of spaces; elevation changes be it floor, ceiling, or both concurrently; walls strategically placed. The dynamic energy of the different parts directed the final plan design. With the existing entry door set at an angle with the streets, the entrance became significantly critical as a design determinant.

A listing of the sub-spaces would include: office, nail salon, styling area, waiting, changing rooms, dispensary, art display, boutique, pedi-care, facial, restroom, shampoo area, drying, storage, mechanical, and various display areas.

The major functional area were: exhibition halls, general service area, commercial areas, administration, security and service area, conservation area, and scientific research and training.

Mechanical system had to be modified and new components installed to satisfy code requirements for this change of use throughout the existing and proposed spaces.
