Needing to expand a very busy branch bank 5/3 rd asked our team to assess: the feasibility of expansion to a uniquely shaped and proportioned building. As architects we: analyzed the existing conditions; discovered building had been built on piers and hovered over a once filled site; developed options of expansion including structural piers/grade beams to accommodate; constructed a 3d model which came apart to reflect existing transformations into the proposed; assessed the possible energy conservation measures that could and will lower energy costs/operations; redesign site areas to better control traffic coming in and leaving, and key up for drive up ATM or teller assistance; interior finish scheme - incorporating a green garden at the entrance lobby for highlight and spiritual release.
