New Logos Development Center

Adaptive Reuse & New Additions
Client: Greater Christ Temple Church
Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Project:
On a 16 acre site in the northern part of Davidson County, this location is draped by the Cumberland river and located near the historic Germantown and within eye sight of Metro Government Center. Project development priorities are: 1) design/build a new 2,000 seat sanctuary wing; 2) enhance existing and former hospital building to provide functional spaces and areas for the church ministries and administrative offices and support facilities; and to construct a large scale housing complex that will serve as affordability accommodations for about 240 senior residents.

Details:
Initial contract requires design team to develop a three part feasibility study analyzing existing facility ability to be reused, demolish, expand or adapt for the programmed needs. The study will fully investigate the economic parameters and factors critical to projects' manageable budgets or costs. The overall project will necessitate completely new: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, systems plus applicable infrastructure. Site will require considerable regrading to accommodate a few of the proposed structures along with required on site parking and access.

The project is proposed to be completed in phases; initially three phases are outlined: 1) New sanctuary and adaptive reuse of hospital building; 2) Independent/Assisted affordable apts for 120 seniors; 3) Converting former nursing home facility into a viable pre-K-8 daycare facility for 150 plus children.
